Ruby Bridges's first day of first grade was one of the most memorable dates in the civil rights movement. She became the first African American student to attend William Frantz School in Nee Orleans, opening the doors to school integration. Ultimately, her actions would benefit all students in America . Now she spends her life reaching out to the others in encourage them to play an active part in education of their children.
